Here, let me clear up some confusion….

I’m guessing the biggest question on your mind is what the title of this blog means.

Jael is one of the heroes of the Bible who also was a stay-at-home mom. The gist of the story is an enemy of Israel chose the wrong tent to hide in because the woman of the house was as fierce as they come.welcome-sign-724689_1280

She didn’t simper and wring her hands or dash away with her iPhone stuck to her ear, too busy to see the opportunity God placed in her lap. She pulled out her finest hospitality skills, hid the enemy, and killed him. With a tent peg.

You should totally read the story in Judges 4-5. It’s amazing.

If you have ever felt unnecessary, hassled, unloved, useless, or anything else that plagues humanity, you have come to the right place.

I have too and God, by his grace and sweet mercy, is transforming me by the renewing of my mind (Romans 12:2) and I am here to share it with you.

I am no expert in religion or the Bible but I have a good God and he has empowered me by the Holy Spirit to know his Word and share it with other women.

Does that make me sound special? Well, I am. And so are you.

God in His mercy has given us as Christians His Spirit to help us know, apply, and share God’s grace and Gospel (1 Cor. 2: 9-16). We are beloved daughters of the King.

He has equipped us with His Spirit, His power, and His grace to perform the works He has prepared for us (Eph. 1:3-12). And we are called to be as fierce as Jael when the Enemy comes against us.

I get exhausted and impatient. I’m not a consistent blogger. I enjoy having adventures with my husband. My puppy only obeys me half the time. And I look forward to hearing from God when I open my Bible.

My name is Rebecca and I’m so excited to walk through this blog with you and see what our great God does to bless us.
